Ingredients

  • 3 cups all purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 cup (2 sticks) butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup shortening
  • 3 cups sugar
  • 5 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 tsp. vanilla

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350 degrees and grease and flour a bundt pan.
Sift together dry ingredients and set aside.
In a mixer, cream butter, shortening and sugar until fluffy.
Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
Alternately add flour mixture and milk, ending with the flour mixture. Add the vanilla.
Pour into your bundt pan and bake for 1 hour.
Don't overcook!
