Macaroni Beef Tomato American Goulash

Ingredients
- 1 1 1 cup uncooked elbow macaroni
- 1 1 1 lb lean ground beef or 1 pound Italian sausage links, casing removed
- 1 1 1 medium onion, chopped
- 4 4 4 garlic cloves, minced or pressed
- 1 1 1/2 to 1 cumin or you can use 1/2 to 1 package taco seasoning mix
- 1 1 1 teaspoon crushed chili flakes
- 1 1 ounce) can 1 (28 ounce) can diced tomatoes, undrained
- 1 1 ounce) can 1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
- 2 2 ounce) can 2 (4 ounce) can chopped green chilies
- to and pepper, to taste
- Shredded cheddar cheese, any desired amount

Step 1
1.Cook macaroni according to package directions.
2.In a large skillet over medium-high heat, brown hamburger. Reduce heat to medium and add onions, garlic, cumin, and chili flakes. Continue cooking and stirring until onions are tender.
3.Stir in tomatoes, tomato sauce, and green chilies. Bring to a boil then reduce heat and simmer uncovered for 25 minutes. About half way through, season with salt and pepper, if desired.
4.Fold in macaroni noodles and sprinkle with cheddar cheese and allow to melt.
