Venison Steak Casserole

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs. round venison steak- 1inch thick
  • 6 tbsp. flour
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 1/8 tsp. oregano
  • 1 clove garlic-crushed
  • 3 tbsp. shortening
  • 6 medium potatoes-sliced
  • 2 medium onions-sliced
  • 2 carrots-sliced
  • 1 green pepper
  • 3 cups beef bouillon

Preparation

Step 1

Cut steak into serving pieces
Pound in mixture of 1/4 cup flour, 1/2 tsp. salt, 1/4 tsp. pepper, oregano and garlic into venison. Brown in shortening.
Place one layer in oval baking dish, layer half of potatoes, onions, peppers and carrots on top.
Sprinkle with half remaining salt, pepper and flour. Repeat layers.
Pour beef bouillon overtop, bake covered in 350 degree oven for 1 hour.
than uncovered for 30 minutes.
