Pecan Candy

Ingredients

  • 2 cups Sugar
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1 cup Milk
  • 1/4 tsp Soda
  • 1 cup Chopped Pecans
  • 2 Tbsp Butter
  • 2 Tbsp White Corn Syrup
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract

Preparation

Step 1

Mix all ingredients except pecans and vanilla in a large
saucepan and bring to a boil.
When mixture comes to a boil, add pecans
Cook until it reaches 234 degrees F on candy thermometer.
Remove from heat.
Add vanilla and beat until Creamy
Drop by spoonfuls on wax paper or spread in buttered pan and cut
in squares.
