Ingredients

  • Spicy Catfish Fingers
  • 1 lb catfish fillets
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 3/4 cup bread crumbs
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • vegetable oil
  • Dip Sauce
  • 3/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup spicy seafood cocktail sauce
  • 2 tsp lemon juice
  • 1/4 tsp ground red pepper
  • 1/2 tsp old bay seasoning

Preparation

Step 1

Spicy Catfish Fingers

Cut fillets into strips and set aside. Combine garlic powder, cayenne pepper, salt and pepper. Sprinkle on both sides of the fillets. Let stand a few minutes. Meanwhile, combine bread crumbs, flour, and paprika. Coat fillets with mixture. Pour oil in a deep skillet and heat to medium-high. Fry the fillets ~2 mins on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove fillets and drain on paper towel.


Dip Sauce

Mix all ingredients together and chill before serving.
