Ingredients
- FROSTING:
- 2 cups flour
- 2 cups sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 cubes margarine
- 1 cup water
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 teaspoon baking soda (for high altitude, scant teaspoon)
- 4 heaping tablespoons cocoa or 1/2 cup
- 1/2 cup buttermilk or powdered buttermilk
- 1 cube margarine
- 4 large tablespoons cocoa, or 1/2 cup
- 5 tablespoons milk
- 4 cup powdered sugar
- pinch salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 cup pecans

Step 1
Mix first 3 ingredients together. Boil water, melt margarine in it and mix in cocoa. Mix with first 3 ingredients, and then add the rest of the ingredients. Bake for 20-25 minutes in greased 11x14" pan at 425 degrees. Do not over bake. Frost while hot.
FROSTING:
Beat ingredients (except pecans) until smooth and pour over cake. Sprinkle pecans on top.
