Ingredients
- 1 1/4 c brown sugar
- 2 T honey
- 1 c whole wheat flour
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1 c rice crispies
- 1/4 c sunflower seeds
- 1/4 c butter, softened
- 1 egg white
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 c quick cooking oatmeal
- 1 c raisins or other dried fruit
- optional 1/2 c chocolate chips
Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 350. Spray 13 x 9 pan. In a large bowl combine brown sugar, butter, honey, and egg white; beat until well blended. Add flour, cinnamon and baking powder; ;mix well. Stir in oats, cereal, dried fruit, sunflower seeds and chocolate chips if using. Press mixture firmly in bottom of pan. Bake for 14 to 18 minutes until edges are light golden brown. Cool completely, cut into bars and store in tightly covered container. Yield is 36 bars.
