Ingredients

  • Meatballs
  • 2 lbs. ground pork
  • 1 bunch of green onions, chopped, including green stalks
  • 4 T Bisquick mix
  • 2 beaten eggs
  • 4 T cornstarch
  • 1 t sesame oil
  • 6 T soy sauce
  • Mix the above ingredients well, shape into 1” balls, on a cookie sheet bake @ 350° for 15-20 minutes, turning with a spatula to prevent sticking.
  • Sauce
  • 2 T cornstarch
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1/3 cup vinegar
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 2 T soy sauce
  • 1 t sherry
  • 1 T Oriental plum sauce

Preparation

Step 1

Combine cornstarch and sugar. Add vinegar, water, soy sauce, and sherry. Heat in a heavy metal sauce pan, stirring until thickened. Stir in plum sauce. Add meatballs to sauce and serve in a chaffing dish.
