Preparation
Step 1
Loosely collect the 3 cups of powdered sugar.
Mix until completely combined.
Add additional milk, one teaspoon at a time, if needed to make drizzling consistency.
When I lift my spoon, I look for it to drizzle, but fairly thickly. Think pancake batter….that consistency.
Then I split the icing among my larger prep bowls, depending upon how many colors I’m using. So, for a cookie with only two colors involved, I split the icing into two separate bowls. Then I use food coloring to color each respective bowl of icing. A couple drops usually does it, unless I want a darker, richer color. I mix this very thoroughly to make sure the color is consistent throughout the whole bowl.
