Roast wth Zesty Gravy

Ingredients

  • 4 lb boneless roast
  • 1 pkg brown gravy mix
  • 3/4 cup water, divided
  • 1/2 cup red wine
  • 2 1/2 Tbsp prepared horseradish
  • 8 oz pkg sliced mushrooms

Preparation

Step 1

Season roast with salt and pepper to taste. Place in slow cooker with 1/3 cup water; cook on low 6 hours.

Preheat overn to 350F

Remove meat; slice into small portions. Divide roast; placing half in greased casserole dish (save other half for another meal).

In skillet combine gravy mix, 1/2 cup water, wine and horseradish. Bring to a boil. reduce heat; simmer, stirring occasionally, until thickened. Stir in mushrooms. Spoon mushrooms and gravy mix over beef. Bake uncovered at 350F for 10 mins.
