    Tbls butter, softened

    cup granulated sugar

    large eggs

  • ½

    vanilla extract

  • cups sifted cake flour

  • ½

    teas baking soda

  • ½

    teas ground nutmeg

  • teas salt

  • ½

    cup buttermilk


Preheat oven 350 f. Spray pan nonstick cooking spray. In electric mixer. beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy, about 3 min. Add egg one at a time. mixing well. add vanilla extract. In another bowl stir dry ingredients together. Add half dry ingredients and mix until nearly combined. Add buttermilk and remaining dry ingredients. mix until incorporated. Do not overmix. Fill crueller cavities 2/3 full. Bake 18-22 minutes or unti toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool in pan 5 mins. remove to cooling rack. 6 crullers. CONFECTONER'S SUGAR GLAZE 1 1/2 cups confectoners's sugar 1/4 cup milk 1/2 teas vanilla extract In large bowl, whisk all ingredients together, dip crullers in glaze. Glaze will harden in 10-15 minutes. CINNAMON SUGAR TOPPING 3 tablesoons granulated sugar 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon 4 tablespoons unsalted butter. melted Dip in butter, and sprinkle all over with sugar mixture.
