Ingredients
- 6 slices, 1" thick cinnamon raisin bread
- 3 cups corflakes, crushed
- 3 large eggs
- 1-1/2 tsp vanilla
- 1 Tbsp sugar
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 cup half and half
- 4 cups fresh strawberries
- 2 Tbsp sugar
Preparation
Step 1
Place the cornflakes in a large ziploc bag. Using a rolling pin, crush them to medium-fine consistency
In a bowl, whisk the eggs with the vanilla, 1 Tsp sugar, cinnamon and cream
Rinse the strawberries, drain. Remove the stems and leaves. Slice the berries in half. Sprinkle the berries with 3 Tbsp sugar. Stir together
Dip the slices of bread in the egg mixture one slice at a time, coating both sides.
Shake off excess liquid, and dip them in the cornflake mixure.
Heat a heavy skillet to medium. Melt about 1 Tbsp butter
Fry the toast for about 1-1/2 minutes to 2 minutes per side.
Top with strawberries
