Ingredients
- 1 loaf French bread
- 8 slices Swiss cheese
- 1/2 cup margarine, softened
- 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
- 1 tbsp prepared mustard
- 1 tsp poppy seeds
- 4 slices bacon, crisp fried, crumbled
Preparation
Step 1
1. Preheat oven to 400F. Slice bread into 16 pieces, slicing to but not through the bottom. Cut cheese slices diagonally into halves. Put the cheese between the slices of bread. Put the bread on a foil covered baking sheet.
2. Mix margarine, onion, mustard and poppy seeds in bowl. Spread margarine mixture over the top and sides of the bread. Sprinkle with the bacon. Bake the bread for 20 mins. Serve hot.
