Ingredients
- 8 cup glass pitcher
- 3 heaping T Lipton loose tea
- half cup sugar
- juice of 1 1/2 lemons- left out of the frig so they is warm
- 3 cups cold water
- ice
Preparation
Step 1
1. in a one qt measuring pitcher place loose tea and pour boiling water into the pitcher over the tea to the line that says 3 cups. let it stand 10 minutes.
2. in an 8 cup glass pitcher place sugar and set a tea strainer over the pitcher. squeeze the lemon juice into the sugar. shake the pitcher so the juice moistens all the sugar.
3.pour tea through the strainer into the lemon sugar mixture. with a spoon press or mash the juice through the strainer.
4. stir the tea mixture with a spoon till sugar is dissolved.
5. when tea is cool add 3 cups of cold water. stir again and serve over ice.
