Reindeer Cookies #2

Ingredients

  • 3.4-oz. pkg. instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened,
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1-1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • non-stick cooking spray
  • 12-oz. container chocolate frosting
  • Garnish: mini pretzel twists, small candies

Preparation

Step 1

Combine pudding mix, sugar and butter in a mixing bowl; blend well. Stir in egg; set aside. Mix flour and baking powder in another bowl. Add to pudding mixture; mix very well. Chill for 30 minutes, until dough is firm.

Roll out dough 1/4-inch thick on a floured surface with a floured rolling pin. Cut with cookie cutters and place on lightly sprayed baking sheets.

Bake at 350 degrees for 8 to 9 minutes, until lightly golden. Cool on a wire rack. Spread frosting over cookies. Place 2 pretzels at top for “antlers” and candies for “eyes” and “nose.”

Makes 2 to 3 dozen.
