Cracker Pie

Ingredients

  • 3 egg whites
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 20 Ritz crackers
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1/2 pint whipping cream

Preparation

Step 1

beat 3 egg whites until stiff and then add cup of sugar, baking powder and vanilla and beat. Then fold in the crunched up Ritz crackers and chopped nuts. This thick "goo" is then put in the greased pie pan and baked for 30 minutes at 350 degrees. After baking, top with whipped cream that has been whipped with just a little sugar because the pie itself is very sweet. Remember to let the pie cool thoroughly before top with the whipped cream. Then chill; pie is best if it's had at least three or four hours to chill in refrigerator.
