Apple Upside down Cake

Ingredients
- 4 Granny Smith or Golden Delicious apples
- (2 are cut in 1/4 inch slices and 2 in 1/2 inch slices)
- 2/3 cup light brown sugar
- 2 T. lemon juice
- 2 eggs
- 3/4 cup sugar

Step 1
Put 2 of the ½ inch sliced apples in a pan with 4 T. unsalted butter. Cook about 4 minutes until caramelized. When finished, add the other two apples, 2/3 cup light
brown sugar. Stir until melted and dissolved. Add 2 T. lemon juice.
Press apple mixture into a buttered 9 inch pan.
In a bowl, whisk 2 eggs, ¾ cup sugar, and ¼ cup light brown sugar. Add 6 T.
melted butter, 1 t. vanilla, and ½ cup sour cream.
Mix 1 cup flour, 1 t. baking powder, ½ t salt, and 1 T. corn meal.
Add to egg mixture and whisk until smooth. Pour over apple mixture and smooth.Place on bottom rack 350 degree oven for about 35/40 minutes
