Ingredients
- 1 lb. split peas
- 2 C. ham (cut in small pieces)
- 1 C. carrots
- 1/2 C. diced onions
- 2 stalks celery
- 2 garlic cloves
- 1 bay leaf
- 1/4 C. parsley
- 1 tbsp. salt
- 1 1/2 quart of water or chicken broth

Step 1
Layer ingredients in crock pot in order listed Do not stir or mix.
Gently pour water over layers. Cook 4-5 hrs. on high or 8-10 hrs.
On low until peas are soft. Stir to blend.
