Next time they ask to help, you'll be ready to amaze them with these ideas. Make some new memories in the process too...no matter how messy they might be.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line a 15" x 10" jelly-roll pan with parchment paper. Place peppermints on baking sheet in the shape of a rectangle, leaving a little space between each candy, and at least a 1" margin around the edge of the pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 7 to 10 minutes, being careful not to overbake. Let pan cool on a wire rack for several minutes, until candy is cool enough to touch. Carefully peel off the parchment paper. Let tray cool at room temperature for several hours before using.
