  • 2 cups (1 pint) half-and-half
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Preparation

What To Do:
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.

Coat a 9- x 13- inch baking dish with cooking spray. Place bread slices in a single layer in baking dish.

In a medium bowl, combine remaining ingredients; mix well and pour over bread slices. Cover and chill for 30 minutes, or until liquid has been absorbed.

Bake 35 to 40 minutes uncovered, or until golden brown.

Try this simple maple vanilla syrup: In a medium saucepan, combine 1 cup maple syrup, 1/2 cup butter, and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract over low heat and cook for 2 to 3 minutes, or until well combined and heated through, stirring frequently. Serve warm over the French toast.
