Preparation
Step 1
Stovetop:
Gradually stir oats into boiling, salted water. Cook over low heat for approximately 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Cover and remove from heat. Let stand for a few minutes.
Microwave:
For 1 serving, gradually stir oats into cold, salted water. Heat uncovered on high power for 1-1/2 to 1-3/4 minutes. Stir for 1 minute. Let stand for 1 minute.
