French Meat Pies

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs hamburg
  • 1 lb ground pork
  • 2 onions chopped
  • 1 clove garlic chopped
  • 1 chicken bouillon
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp pepper
  • 1 cup water
  • 4 potatoes cooked and mashed - do not add milk
  • Crusts for 3 two crust pies

Preparation

Step 1

1. Sauté onion in butter. Add meat and garlic and cook until no longer pink
2. Dissolve bouillon cube in water and add with seasonings to meat
3. Cover and simmer for 20 minutes then uncover and cook for 10 minutes
4. Add potatoes to meat mixture and put into crusts. Top with remaining crusts. Cut slits in top. Bake at 425 degrees for 1 hour. May serve with gravy
