Buttermilk Brownies

These are sometimes called Texas Sheetcake-sooooo delicious and super easy. Makes a large pan, but you may decide not to share them! ;-)

Ingredients

• Frosting:
• 1 cup cold water
• 4 tablespoons cocoa powder
• 1/2 cup butter
• 1/2 cup salad oil
• 2 cups sugar
• 2 cup flour
• 1 t baking soda
• 2 beaten eggs
• 1 t vanilla
• 1/2 cup buttermilk
• 1/2 cup butter
• 1/4 Cup Cocoa
• 1/3 cup buttermilk
• dash salt

Preparation

Step 1

In saucepan heat to dissolve first 4 ingredients;
Combine 2 cups sugar and 2 cup flour 1 t baking soda
Pour heated mixture over dry ingredients. Beat Add 2 beaten eggs, 1 t vanilla and 1/2 cup buttermilk

Pour into greased jelly roll pan. Bake 18 minutes at 350.

Frosting:
Bring all to boil
Take off the heat add 1 tsp vanilla and 1 pound bag of powder sugar. Mix and spread

Keep frosting a bit thin and spread while still slightly warm.
