Bread Pudding

Wonderful recipe from Ralph & Kakoo's in New Orleans

Ingredients

  • 8 slices of toasted bread (torn in pieces)
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 1/2 C sugar
  • 2 C milk
  • 1 Tbl cinnamon
  • 2 Tbl melted butter
  • 1 small can fruit cocktail (drained)
  • 1 small bottle pure vanilla extract
  • 2 small boxes of raisins

Preparation

Step 1

Mix together; eggs, milk, sugar, cinnamon fruit cocktail, vanilla and raisins. Mix well.
Add to bread and mix well.

Pour into greased pan 10 inch pan and bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes.
Brush with melted butter and continue baking until golden brown.

Can be served with a brandy sauce
