Plum Syrup with Anise

Ingredients

  • 6 * 6 black plums, cut into cubes
  • 1 * 1 cup sugar
  • 1 * 1 cup water
  • 5 * 5 pods star anise

Preparation

Step 1



1. Place all ingredients in a saucepan and bring to a boil. Simmer over medium heat, stirring frequently, for 15 minutes. Strain and transfer to a small pitcher. Refrigerate until chilled, about 4 hours. Use to flavour sparkling wine or drizzle over vanilla ice cream.
