Strawberry Pretzel Salad

Ingredients

  • Crust:
  • 3 tbs sugar
  • 2 cups crushed pretzels
  • 3/4 cup margarine, melted
  • Filling:
  • 1 (8 oz) pkg cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 (13 oz) tub Cool Whip
  • 2 cups mini marshmallows
  • Top Layer:
  • 1 (6 oz pkg) strawberry jello
  • 1 1/2 cups boiling water
  • 1 (10 oz) pkg frozen strawberries, thawed

Preparation

Step 1

Crust: With a rolling pin, crush pretzels between waxed paper. Mix sugar, pretzels and margarine and spread in a 13 x 9" pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes. This will look bubbly. Set aside to cool.

Filling: Cream together cream cheese and powdered sugar. Fold in Cool Whip. Fold in mini marshmallows. Spread over baked layer and refrigerate.

Top Layer: Dissolve jello in boiling water; stir in strawberries. Refrigerate mixture until slightly thickened. Spread over top layer and chill.
