Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 3-1/4 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ginger
- 3/4 cup molasses
- 1/4 cup water
Preparation
Step 1
1. Cream butter and sugar.
2. Sift flour with salt, baking soda and spices.
3. Blend four mixture into creamed mixture.
4. Alternately add molasses and water.
5. Chill at least 1 hour.
6. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
7. Roll dough 1/4" thick.
8. Cut with cookie cutters.
9. Lift onto lightly greased cookie sheet.
10. Bake 12 minutes or until cookie springs back lightly in the center.
11. Cool on wire racks.
