Berniece's Baked Beans

Ingredients

  • 2 tall cans baked beans
  • 2 cans pork and beans
  • 1 can butter beans
  • 1 can lima beans
  • 1 can red pinto beans
  • 1 pound bacon, cut-up and fried, drain all fat but 1 Tbs
  • 1 pound hamburger
  • 1 pound ground pork
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 1 Tbs garlic, minced
  • 1/3 cup vinegar
  • 1/2 cup barbecue sauce
  • 1/3 cup catsup
  • 2 Tbs prepared mustard
  • 1/4 cup molasses
  • 1 can crushed pineapple
  • 1 green pepper, chopped

Preparation

Step 1

Put baked beans and pork and beans in crock-pot.

Drain butter, lima and pinto beans and add to pot

Fry bacon and add ground beef, ground pork, onion, and garlic and fry until meat is cooked and onion is brown. Add to pot

Mix in vinegar, barbecue sauce, catsup, mustard, and molasses, and stir well. Add to pot and mix well.

Add pineapple and green pepper, and stir together.

Heat in crock-pot until beans are warm and ready to eat. You can make ahead and let sit in fridge 1-2 days to let the flavors blend.
