Ingredients

  • 2 T butter
  • 2 large onions, sliced
  • 1/2 pound mushrooms
  • 1/2 C diced celery
  • 1/2 C diced green pepper
  • 1 tsp minced garlic
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 15 oz tomato sauce
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp ground pepper
  • 8 oz elbow macaroni
  • 8 oz cheddar cheese

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat 350
In large skillet melt butter over medium high heat. Add onions, mushrooms, celery, green pepper and garlic. Cook, stirring until vegetables are softened about 10 minutes. Add beef and cook until it loses its pink clor. Stir in tomato sauce, salt and pepper. Bring to a simmer. Stir in cooked macaroni, then cheese. Spoon into 13x9pan.

Bake uncovered 30 minutes.
