Ingredients
- 3 shallots , sliced
- 4 tbsp olive oil
- 1 garlic clove , lightly crushed sprig rosemary
- 5 tbsp balsamic vinegar
- 1-3/4 Cups red wine
- 1-3/4 Cups beef stock or brown chicken stock, preferably homemade
- 1-2 Tablespoons butter
Preparation
Step 1
Saute the shallots in the olive oil, add the garlic and rosemary until garlic is light golden brown. Add balsamic, red wine and stock and simmer until it thickens. Stir in butter to finish the sauce before serving.
