Ingredients
- 1/2 cup solid vegetable shortening
- 1/2 cup softened butter
- 1 teaspoon clear vanilla extract (I use coconut)
- 4 cups sifted confectioners sugar (icing sugar)
- 2 tablespoons milk
Preparation
Step 1
cream butter and shortening together add vanilla. gradually add 1 cup of sugar at a time, mixing well and scraping down sides of bowl.when all icing sugar has been mixed in (will appear dry) add the milk and beat until light and fluffy( i add 3 or 4 squares of white chocolate melted at this stage).keep bowl covered with a damp cloth until ready to use.keep in fridge in a airtight container for 2 weeks. rewhip before using
