Ingredients

  • 1/4 lb. bacon, diced and fried crisp
  • 1 can (14.4 oz.) sauerkraut
  • 1 can (14.5 oz.) stewed tomatoes, undrained
  • 1/2 head cabbage, shredded
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 lb. Polish sausage cut into 1-inch pieces

Step 1

In a large pot, combine bacon, sauerkraut, tomatoes, cabbage and sugar. Simmer for about 30 minutes or until cabbage is tender.

In a large skillet, brown sausage; drain fat. Stir sausage into sauerkraut mixture. Cook to desired consistency.
