Teriyaki Pork Roast

  • 1 boneless pork shoulder roast 3-4 lb. trimmed
  • 1 c brown sugar
  • 1/3 c unsweetened apple juice
  • 1/3 c soy sauce
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 T cornstarch
  • 3 T cold water

Step 1

Cut roast in half; rub with brown sugar. Place in crockpot. Pour apple juice and soy sauce over roast. Sprinkle with salt. Cook on low for 6 1/2 hrs. Remove roast; cover and let stand for 15 minutes. Strain cooking juices and return to crockpot. Combine the cornstarch and cold water until smooth; gradually stir into juices. cover and cook on high for 15 minutes or until thickened. Slice pork and serve with gravy.
