Ingredients

  • 6 c. doughnut-shaped oat cereal
  • 1 c. salted peanuts
  • 1 c. raisins
  • 1 c. brons sugar, packed
  • 1/2 c. butter, softenend
  • 1/4 c. corn syrup
  • 1/2 t. salt
  • 1/2 t. baking soda

Preparation

Step 1

Combine cereal, peanuts and raisins in a buttered large mixing bowl; set aside. Cook brown sugar, butter, corn syrup and salt in a saucepan over medium heat, stirring constantly until bubbly around the edges. Boil for 2 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove from ehat; stir in baking soda. Pour over cereal mixture; stir until well coated. Divide and spread evenly into 2 greawed 13x9 baking pans. Bake at 250 degreese for 15 nminutes. Stir; let cool for 10 minutes. Loosen sides with a spatula; cool until firm, about 20 minutes. Break into bite-sizxe pieces; store in an airtight container.Makes about 20 servings.
