Chocolate Chip Graham Cracker Blondies

Ingredients

  • 2 sticks (16 Tbsp.) butter, melted
  • 2 cups brown sugar (I used light brown sugar)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • pinch salt
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp. baking powder (this is not in the original recipe and you would be fine without it)
  • 1 cup chocolate chips (I used a combination of milk and semi-sweet)
  • approx. 2/3 to 3/4 cup graham cracker crumbs (I crushed my own; they were coarsely crushed)

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350 degrees, and butter a 13 x 9 pan. Mix the melted butter with brown sugar, and beat until smooth. Beat in eggs and then vanilla. Add the salt, and stir in the flour and baking powder. Mix in your additions (chocolate chips, etc.). Pour into your prepared pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 - 25 minutes, or until the middle is set and a toothpick comes out clean. (Slightly under cook the blondies for an ooey gooey center). Let cool completely before cutting.
