Ingredients

  • 2 T cornstarch
  • 2 T LJ
  • pinch of salt
  • 3 # cherries
  • 4.5 oz flour
  • 1 c brown sugar
  • 1 T chopped almonds
  • 1/4 t cinnamon
  • pinch of salt
  • 7 T butter cut into pieces

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
Heat cast iron skillet in oven for 5-10min.
Combine cornstarch, LJ, cherries and salt, toss well to coat. Pour into pan sprayed with cooking spray.
Combine flour, sugar, almond, cinnamon and salt in bowl. Cut in butter with pastry kniffe until corse cornmeal texture. Sprinkle over cherries and bake 35 minutes.
