Ingredients
- 1 c. butter
- 2 c. packed brown sugar
- 1 c. corn syrup
- 1 can sweetened condensed milk
- 2 t. vanilla
- 8-10 wooden sticks
- 8-10 small apples

Step 1
1. Insert a stick into stem end of each apple.
2. In a heavy saucepn, combine butter, brown sugar, corn syrup and milk; bring to a boil over medium heat.
3. Cook and stir until candy thermometer reads 245-248 degrees F, about 30-40 minutes.
4. Remove from heat and add vanilla.
5. Dip each apple in caramel mixture and turn to coat; allow excess to drip back into pan.
6. Set on generously buttered waxed paper to cool.
