Ingredients

  • 3 Tbs (45 ml) butter
  • 2-4 cloves garlic, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup (60 ml) dry red wine
  • 1 Tbs (15 ml) Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 Tbs (15 ml) finely chopped chipotle in adobo sauce, or to taste
  • 1 lb (450 g) shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • Cooked white rice

Step 1

Heat the butter in a skillet over moderate heat and saute the garlic for about 30 seconds. Add the red wine, Worcestershire sauce, and chipotle mixture and cook for 30 seconds. Add the shrimp and cook, stirring frequently, until the shrimp are firm and opaque, 3 to 4 minutes. Serve over rice. Serves 4 to 8.
