Ingredients

  • Gravy:
  • 1/3 c chopped onions
  • 2 T butter
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 c milk
  • 1/2 c bread crumbs
  • 1 1/4 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp sugar
  • 1/2 tsp allspice
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 1 lb gr beef
  • 1 lb gr pork
  • 2 T butter
  • 3 T flour
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 1/4 tsp salt
  • pepper
  • 1 c water
  • 3/4 c cream

Preparation

Step 1

Saute onion in butter. Beat egg--add milk and crumbs. Add salt, sugar, allspice, nutmeg, beef, pork and onions. Form into balls and brown in butter. Remove from pan. Stir flour, sugar, salt and pepper into grease. Then, stir in water and cream. Put meatballs back into gravy and heat.
