Caramel Icing

Enough for 1 two layer cake or 1 tube cake

Ingredients

  • 2 cups brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup evaporated milk
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla

Preparation

Step 1

In medium saucepan mix everything EXCEPT vanilla, bring to rapid boil. Stir constantly, boil 1 minute. Pour into a bowl & add vanilla, beat til lukewarm. If it becomes hard add 1 tbsp milk.
