Breakfast Egg & Sausage Casserole

This is a great recipe for Christmas morning as you can make it up to 24 hours in advance and bake it in the morning.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. Pork sausage, cooked, drained & crumbled
  • 10 eggs
  • 4 slices white bread, cubed
  • 2 cups milk
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar jack cheese
  • 2 tsp. dry mustard

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350°. Combine ingredients and place in greased casserole dish. Bake 55 minutes.

Note: ingredients may be assembled in greased casserole, covered and refrigerated overnight. In morning, bake as directed.

Variation: six to ten slices crisp bacon may be substituted for the sausage. Can also add diced green onions.
