Vodka Sauce (Aunt Maria)

Ingredients

• 2 TBSP butter
• 1/3 cup vodka
• 1/2 TSP red pepper flakes
• 16 oz crushed tomato
• 1/2 TSP salt
• 1/2 cup heavy cream
• 1/4 cup grated cheese

Preparation

Step 1

melt butter in large skillet on medium low heat

stir in vodka, red pepper flakes and heat for 2 minutes

add crushed tomato and salt

cook over high heat for 5 mins until thick

stir in heavy cream (light is ok too)

cook 5 minutes until thick

at very end stir in cheese
