Almond Lace Cookies

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup light brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp. light corn syrup
  • 3/4 cup flour
  • 2/3 cup sliced almonds
  • 1/4 tsp. salt

Preparation

Step 1

1. Heat oven to 375F. In a small pot, combine butter, brown sugar, and corn syrup over medium heat. Stir until butter is melted and mixture is smooth. Remove from heat. Stir in flour, almonds and salt until just combined.
2. Spoon teaspoonfuls of batter onto parchment paper lined cookie sheets, spacing 4 inches apart. Bake at 375F for 7 - 8 minutes until bubbling and golden-brown. Let sit on baking sheets until firm, about 5 minutes.
3. Carefully transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
