Ingredients
- 4 tablespoons olive oil
- 5 onions, quartered and thinly sliced
- 3 tablespoons red wine (optional)
- 2 1/2 teaspoons italian seasoning
- 1 teaspoon parsley flakes
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 1/4 cups mayonaisse
- 5 oz crumbled blue cheese
- pita chips to serve with

Preparation
Step 1
Heat oil in a pan. Add onions and caramelize for 20-30 minutes over medium heat. If pan gets too dry add water to deglaze. Once onions are golden brown, add wine and cook until reduced. Chill for 10 minutes
Combine all remaining ingredients in a mixing bowl. Add onions and stir until well blended.
Serve with pita chips.
