    T. cream-milk

350*..cream together sugar and butter til light and fluffy. beat in egg and extract. combing flour,nutmeg and salt. gradually add to creamed mixture.. divide dough into a few portions and roll each into logs about 3/4 in thick.. i usually flour board a little. not much. cut into 2in. pieces. place on ungreased baking sheets.. bake 350* 12-15min. or until bottoms are lightly for 2 min. before cooling on wire racks. FROSTING in a large bowl, beat butter until fluffy. beat in conf sugar,extract and enough milk to achieve desired consistency..frost can press with fork to simulate tree bark if desired..sprinkle with nutmeg,colored sugar sprinkles or chopped nuts..
