Ingredients
- 1 eggs
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup butter softened
- 2 cups flour + 1/3 cup flour
- topping
- 2 cups light brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 cups pecans
Preparation
Step 1
combine 2 cups flour and sugar in a large mixing bowl
cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse meal
set aside 3/4 cups crumb mixture
combine remaining crumb mixture and 1/3 cup flour
add egg, buttermilk, soda, and cinnamon, stir until moistened
pour batter into a greased 9 inch square pan
combine reserved crumb mixture with nuts
sprinkle over batter
bake for 1 hour
cut into squares
