Ingredients

  • 1 1/2- 2 pounds flank steak
  • 1 cup finely chopped onion
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 3 tbsp extra virgin oilve oil
  • 1/2 tsp ground ginger
  • dash of hot pepper sauce
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp peanut butter
  • 1/2 tsp freshly grated lemon peel

Preparation

Step 1

1. Cut steak across grain into 1/4 inch thick slices
2. Saute onion and garlic in oil until softened
3.Stir in remaining ingredients except steak and cook until slightly thickened
4. Thread meat on skewers
5. Brush with sauce
6.Place on Grill. Cook 8-10 minutes, basting with sauce
