CHICKEN AND ONIONS AU CASSEROLE

  • 1 pkg (8 oz) medium noodles
  • 1 pkg (9 oz) frozen onions in cream sauce
  • 2 cans condensed golden mushroom soup
  • 1 pkg (10 oz) frozen green peas
  • 4 chicken breasts
  • chopped pistachio nuts (optional)

Preparation

Step 1

Cook noodles. Combine with onions and 1 can of the mushroom soup in a greased shallow 12-cup baking dish; sprinkle with peas.

While noodles cook, pull skin from chicken breasts; cut each in half. Arrange in a single layer over peas; spread with remaining can of soup; cover.

Bake at 350 oven 1 ½ hours or until chicken is tender and sauce is bubbly. Garnish with chopped pistachio nuts if desired.
