Ingredients

  • 3 lb chuck roast
  • 1 tsp monosodium glutamate
  • 1/3 c wine vinegar
  • 1/4 c ketchup
  • 2 T salad oil
  • 2 T soy sauce
  • 1 T Worchestershire
  • 1 tsp prepared mustard
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder

Step 1

Sprinkle both sides of meat with msg. Place in shallow pan. Thoroughly combine remainder of ingredients and pour over meat. Marinate 2 to 3 hours, turning once or twice. Broil approx 6 " from heat. Turn roast and baste with marinade every 10-15 mins. Total of 35-40 mins for medium rare.
