Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350

Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Add about a teaspoon of salt and about a tablespoon of any kind of oil. Exact measurement is NOT important. Carefully pour in the dry pasta and cook according to the package directions. Drain the pasta, but don’t rinse it.

While pasta is cooking, pour 2 jars of pasta sauce into a large bowl. Add most of the cheese, but save just a little cheese to sprinkle over the top before baking. Say ¼ cup of each cheese.

When the pasta has been cooked and drained, put it into the big bowl with the sauce and cheese. Mix it all together thoroughly.

Using a 13” x 9” pan, oil the pan thoroughly, then pour about one cup of the remaining jar of sauce into the bottom of the pan, spreading it out evenly. Pour the pasta/cheese mixture into the pan, spreading it out evenly. Top the pasta with another cup of sauce, and then the remaining cheeses. YOU WILL PROBABLY HAVE SOME BOTTLED SAUCE LEFT OVER.

Cut a piece of foil to cover the pan, then oil the foil thoroughly. Seal the pan up tightly with the foil, with the oily side facing the pasta. Cook in the oven for approximately 35-45 minutes. When you can see that it’s bubbling, it’s almost ready to eat. Remove the foil and cook for five minutes more, allowing the cheese to melt.
